Bangladesh Journals OnLine (BanglaJOL) is a service to provide access to Bangladesh published research,
and increase worldwide knowledge of indigenous scholarship. BanglaJOL is a database of journals
published in Bangladesh, covering the full range of academic disciplines. The objective of BanglaJOL is to
give greater visibility to the participating journals, and to the research they convey. BanglaJOL is
managed by the Bangladesh Academy of Sciences (BAS) and it is hosted by Ubiquity Press.
Directory of open access journal
The DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals) was launched in 2003 at Lund University, Sweden, with
300 open access journals. Today, the independent database contains ca. 12000 open access journals
covering all areas of science, technology, medicine, social science and humanities.
Directory of open access books
Directory of Open Access Books (DOAB) is a discovery service that points to Open Access books that can
be found elsewhere. It enables you to search the description of the books and enables you to download
the books from the site of the publisher. All books in DOAB have a full OA license, making them ‘free to
share’. All publishers in DOAB are screened for their peer review procedures and licensing policies.

AGORA
Access to Global Online Research in Agriculture (AGORA) is one of the four Research4Life programmes
that provides free or low cost access to major scientific journals in agriculture and related biological,
environmental and social sciences to public institutions in developing countries. AGORA was launched in
October 2003 and today, after more than 14 years, it provides access to up to 8200 journals from the
world’s leading academic publishers.
HINARI
Hinari Access to Research for Health Programme was set up by the World Health Organization and major
publishers to enable developing countries to access collections of biomedical and health literature.
There are up to 15,000 e-journals and up to 60,000 online books available to health institutions in more
